I just think about what the future holds for my family here and it's not pretty. All of the crap we go through just for Jen to have legal rights to her own kid, and yet we still have to do all this weird stuff with federal taxes, and it sucks to not have your marriage recognized.

Add to that the fact that college tuition in the US is crazy NOW, what the heck is it going to be like in 18 years? I'll never be able to send my kid(s) to school. Ugh.
