I brought Punk to child care this morning because I have A Lot Of Things To Do Today.

It is really, really hard to get started. Sigh.

ETA: I'm clearing out all of the baby/early toddler toys in preparation for the onslaught of new toys. Man, this is exhausting! My kid has STUFF in every nook and cranny of the house! AUGHHHHHHH!

I hear ya. I'm going to have 2 days off this week without Hootie or Halley and I know it will be hard to motivate myself to get stuff done even though I know I want to do it. Then I've got a week off in January and I've got all kinds of things I want to do but I don't know how well I'll do on actually making them happen. I'm afraid that I'll find myself just being too relieved at having time to myself and won't actually do anything at all.

I've basically got this one day to get some stuff done both a) to get the house ready for when my brother and SIL arrive tomorrow, and b) to clear out kid stuff in prep for new kid stuff to take over my house at Christmas. I work tomorrow and Wednesday until 6:30-7:30 (depending on the day), we're doing Christmas with my bro and SIL Thursday morning and then flying to FL on Thursday evening. PHEW!! Today is all about cleaning, laundry, packing, and more cleaning. I am tired just thinking about it.

Unrelated, but I am in the process of packing up the stuff that is too young for Punk so that she doesn't want to play with it. Is Hootie into those inset puzzles (where the piece fits into the same-sized hole)? If so, I can box them separately and if ever either of us is in the other's town, you can borrow them.

I also realized that I never even brought down her baby toys, like the stacking rings and the shape sorters. They were hiding in the toy box. UGH, MY KID HAS TOO MUCH STUFF!!!!!!

Heh, I hear ya. I packed up the baby toys that I know were used and played with regularly. The rest got passed along. The boxes are carefully labeled for next time. Same with the clothing though it's harder there since some clothing fit way longer than the size labels said they should and other clothes were smaller and fit earlier than expected.

I admit I have a clothes-buying problem when it comes to Punk.

But holy crap, we have at least 8 rubbermaid bins of her old clothes in the basement and she is only 2!!! And I have given so much away already!!!
