Beta was 260. Or maybe it was 270. I was a little flustered. I think 260, though. I had to ask a second time. I think I said, "Can you tell me that number again because I was totally not paying attention?" and the nurse laughed and said I was cute. I said, "No way, just telling the truth."

Wow, they are way nicer to you on the phone when you are pregnant.

Also, they apparently don't do repeat betas at my clinic unless your intial is under 100. Most places do 2 or 3. They said I could ask for another if I am feeling like I need one. They do not know how neurotic I am. HA! (Seriously, though, I am trying not to ask for one.) Ultrasound on the 7th (5w6d). Good times.

I go out of town for a couple of days to visit my parents, skim posts when I get back, and totally miss the Big News? *beats head on desk*

Yay! That is a good, strong number. I wouldn't worry too much about the betas. Mine didn't double in two days and caused me weeks of unnecessary stress when everything was fine. I have since read and heard that they really don't provide too much definitive info one way or the other. I don't like to know stuff that might potentially worry me when there is nothing to do about it, but I know some people are comforted by details.

That is a great number, though. Mine was 175 and they even commented about how strong that was. Average for 14 DPO is 114!

I am so excited for you! Now to wait impatiently to find out if my theory about IUIs is true and you're having a boy too!

YEA!!!! How many DPO are you? My beta with this pregnancy was 126 at 14DPO. I guess I'm hinting that the 200's are kinda high. Maybe more then one bambino in there I'm thinking...
