First foods!
Punk had her first taste of brown rice cereal yesterday! She is getting so big so fast, I can't even stand it. We just got back from South Carolina on Tuesday night into Wednesday, and already she has done new things! She had some solid food and also started saying, "da da da." Every time she does, I say, "No dada. Mama." Heh.

I think she liked it!

ps- We've got all our picture holiday cards hanging in our front hall and a lot of people have made a point of commenting on how especially cute she is.

Is her hair blonde-ish or is it just this shot?

has she been feeling better? less of the throwing up and general ickiness? you haven't mentioned it for a while, so i figured she must be feeling better or doing better at keeping food down.

Zack totally started with the dada. He is just now, months later, starting with mamama. It's still an indiscriminately uttered syllable (he just came up with it yesterday), but I have hope.
Btw, veggies and fruits are better starters for still-developing digestive systems. I know grains are super common for that, but in our research on foods and babies and stuff due to Z's allergies, we turned up some good sources on it. I will try to find them. I also recall that when you do start grains, it's best to soak them a bit first - like for sprouting, but not all the way to sprouts. Obviously a little brown rice cereal doesn't do any harm, I just thought I'd mention. I hope giving unsolicited advice in my first ever comment on your LJ doesn't get me on the sh*t list. :>
