My kid is currently on her hands and knees rocking back and forth. Every so often she gets enough momentum to scoot forward. God help me.

She also has the ridge of a first tooth out as of this morning.

And has taken a 20 minute nap so far today.

Has she hit the frustrated part of pre-crawling? Where she gets on all fours and whines? It's loverly. Hopefully she'll go right past that and zoooom! And, perhaps, take a nice 2 hour nap afterwards?

Zach's been doing 1+ hr naps, twice/day, lately. Have your girl give him a call. He'll explain.

She has been frustrated pretty much since Day One. It was like she realized there was more to life than tummy time at an early age, and has just been WAITING to do something.

She hasn't gotten too frustrated at not being able to move yet, as she can roll and scoot and army crawl fairly reliably... but once she gets going, crap, I'm in trouble.

Man, I am going to slip her the phone tomorrow so she can call Zackeroo!

You may have some time left; Ben scooted from about 6 months until about 7 1/2 months when he started crawling. I think he could have crawled a lot earlier but luckily he didn't realize it!

awwwwwwwwwwww YEAH!!!!!!! the rocking is a precursor to you-know-what!!!!!!!!!!!! Jack crawled about a week after that.....but was pulling ot stnading before crawling. weird.

It's the bottom left tooth, although the bottom right (front of course) is hard and raised so I'm sure it's just a couple of days behind. At least I hope so. Then maybe she'll sleep for a while.

If it makes you feel better, most rolling over at his age is accidental. You have a little while until you start finding him in random parts of the apartment. ;) (Although you DO have a small place, so who knows?)

She is in the middle of teething hell right now. She is so effing crabby and grumpy and her sleep is CRAP. Like "wake up every hour" crap. It has been building.

It's weird, though, because she doesn't ACT like she's in pain, just crabby. Some babies kind of eat their fingers and cry or whatever when they are getting teeth and she doesn't... she's just even MORE high needs which is effing hard to imagine, let me tell you. I should make videos.

I kind of can't wait until she starts moving. I'm hoping it will chill her out a little bit to have some control.

ditto on the moving thing... rio wants to crawl so bad - but her body just isn't doing what she wants it to - so she gets REALLY REALLY pissed off! And she's starting this whining thing - which is like nail and chalkboard, you know? plus she's teething adn chewing on anything she gets her hands on! yesterday was one of those days that made me sit back (cry a little) and think - what have I done to my life? haha... hope your day is going well.. mine's better than yesterday - though that was one of the worst ever, I think. :P
