Is it tomorrow yet?
Got Punk down for a nap and was all set to get some stuff done. I went to the basement, did the clothes swap and was ready to get the diapers in when the phone rang. I had called the pediatrician's office like I was told and thought they were calling back, but it was a guy about a job. And he was going on and on and THEN the pediatrician's office beeped in, so I had to tell him I had to get off the phone. Score one for me on professionalism. Whoops. By the time he called back I was trying to get Punk back down because she had woken up after 35 minutes and was way cranky and overheated. After 30 minutes of rocking I decided to just lay down with her and she slept another hour after that, but then I had to wake her to get us dressed to go to the pedi.
Against my better judgment, I went through the McD drive through with my last dollar and got something off the dollar menu. So food was had.
The pedi scoop is that Punk now has infections in BOTH ears, even though she has been on antibiotics since Monday for an infection in one ear. Poor Punk! Now she has a new, stronger antibiotic and if she doesn't start feeling better in 48 hours I'm supposed to bring her back in. Sigh.
Then we went to CVS to get her antibiotic and they are so crappy at that CVS and we waited forever and didn't get home until after 5:30 (left at 4:05). Then Jen fed her dinner so I could at least take a quick shower.
Since my shower, I: played with a baby, gave a baby a bath, cleaned up the bath, dressed baby for bed, read story, gave bottle and medicine, put baby to bed, cleaned up toys and stuff in living room, washed out formula pitcher, made more formula, cleaned out diaper bag, folded one load of laundry, and did the laundry switcheroo. I need to get more laundry out of the dryer so I can put the diapers in, and then maybe I can scrounge up some dinner. I am wrecked.
There is no way Pride is my future (so sad, sadder still to miss what should have been Punk's First Pride), but I'm holding out a smidgen of hope that the antibiotics are awesome and Punk feels well enough to go to Hartford on Sunday.
