A cold in June?

I think I have a cold. WTF? Who gets a cold in June? Yesterday afternoon I started getting a scratchy throat and just feeling gross, and this morning my legs are achy which is usually my one big sign. And my throat is still scratchy. Suck.

This is not a good weekend for a cold. (Is there ever a good weekend?) We have a wedding/potluck to go to tomorrow evening and were thinking of driving to Charlestown on Sunday for Touch-a-Truck. But uggggggh, I don't want to do anything if I am feeling crappy because all I can take is Tylenol.

Bleh.

But you're way more likely to get a freakin' cold while pregnant. Be careful, mine was RIDICULOUS.

You can take some other stuff, you just gotta be careful. I was told plain robitussin was fine, and was given prescription Robitussin wiht codeine when it was really bad. Feel better!

Thankfully up until this point it has really just been the annoying scratchy/hoarse throat. No coughing, congestion, stuffy nose... of course, now that I wrote that, it will come. I do have a list of things that could be used if I need it, but I am the paranoid sort and really don't take stuff when pregnant. Although I HAVE been having some Splenda here and there this time, so maybe I am loosening up. :)

I have one right now too. It feels like I have been steam rolled. Scratchy throat was the start of it. Super congested now, itchy, clogged ears, cough, and exhausted. Been this way all week. Ug. I know a lot of folks that are dealing with the same stuff, too. In other states and such...seems like it is hitting all over.

It really is awful. We are moving in two weeks and this cold wiped me right out, at the very worst time.
