(no subject)

It occurred to me while watching Carmen: A Hip Hopera that if someone were engaged to Ms. Knowles of Destiny's Child, s/he would be Beyonce's Fiance(e).

HA! I slay myself.

Hehehehehe :D

[identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com 2005-01-09 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
Heh, you're a total nutjob.

[identity profile] bellabooks.livejournal.com 2005-01-08 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I actually laughed out loud (of course, I haven't been to bed yet and I've been up since 6 p.m. yesterday... ;)

[identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com 2005-01-09 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
Hopefully you find me funny even after sleep!

[identity profile] thelastbard.livejournal.com 2005-01-08 07:24 pm (UTC)(link)
HaHA! That's... rich.

Honestly though -- is there anything more fun than horrible puns aimed at our hip-hop elite? Really. Anyone? Anyone?

Must get more sleep.

[identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com 2005-01-09 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
I agree. After all, if you're going to be a celebrity, you need puns. It's a moral imperative.

[identity profile] thelastbard.livejournal.com 2005-01-10 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
I think you and I should start a bad hip-hop pun site dedicated "... to the silliest punmanship this side of a Beastie Boys' EP."

Don't you think? We could make it a public works project and educate thousands of gradeschool kids in the meaningless frivolity of put-down by puns. Think of the serivce we could provide!

[identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com 2005-01-10 09:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Just think of the children!

Honestly, I think the world would be a better place if you and I were back together working with teenagers as a team. We were so full of the good, appropriate ideas! ;)

Mmmmmmmm...

[identity profile] thelastbard.livejournal.com 2005-01-10 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, it was a lot of fun. We did so much for those kids -- let them be goofy at an age when it's so hard to be goofy.

Plus, there's nothing quite like moderating a discussion on the merits/disadvantages of the latest season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Also Billy Madison. Aka The Best Movie EVAR.

[identity profile] gabriellag.livejournal.com 2005-01-08 07:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha.

Mekhi's in it? Is it on TV? He' sooo hot.

[identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com 2005-01-09 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
I got it from Netflix. The movie itself was pretty terrible, though the music was somewhat amusing. Although they changed the end of the original Carmen which irked me. Still, Mekhi is in it and he is so, SO beautiful.

[identity profile] gabriellag.livejournal.com 2005-01-09 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
I'm too poor for Netflix. Well, I tell myself that, even though I just spent $15 at Hollywood Video. Although I do that about three times a year.

Have you seen Saved? Funny.

I have Garden State, and the White Castle movie left to watch.

Speaking of hot black men, I hold Mekhi up there with the guy from Kevin Hill, um, I forget his name, but he's married to a white woman and they got death threats.

Totally off topic, but yeah. I hate people.

[identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com 2005-01-09 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I used to use Netflix as my alternative to cable TV, but now my smoochie insists on cable so I have compromised and allowed Basic Cable into my home. So $17/month for Netflix wasn't a big deal. And I really get my money's worth. I probably see between 10-12 movies a month.

The dude in Kevin Hill is Taye Diggs. And oh yes, he is also beautiful. Maybe even moreso. Not sure.

Also, I recently saw Saved! and it was quite lovely. I enjoyed it. Hopefully Mean Girls will come up on my queue soon because I'm looking forward to it. Right now all I have is A Mighty Wind until more movies come in the mail. I have not seen Garden State (though it's on the list) or Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle. Tell me what you think of them when you see them.

[identity profile] gabriellag.livejournal.com 2005-01-09 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
Mean Girls is really good.

I am not usually attracted to girls, much less to teeny poppy girls, but Lindsay Lohan is so beautiful. And she has nice breasts. And her hair. My ultimate foursome - Taye Diggs (he is a bit hotter, I think), Mekhi, and Lindsay.

[identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com 2005-01-09 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I think she's pretty but she's far too young for me. :)

Okay, now you're weird. =)

[identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com 2005-01-09 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
I've been telling you that all this time!

[identity profile] vorpalbla.livejournal.com 2005-01-09 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
I saw that, and given the concept, it could have been so much better than it was.

[identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com 2005-01-09 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
I agree. Usually I like those "modernized classics" (or whatever you want to call them) but I didn't like the way they changed the ending, and how there wasn't any hint at all of the original score. Although it was interesting to see Lil Bow Wow as a thug, since he's like 14 or something.

[identity profile] gabriellag.livejournal.com 2005-01-09 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
Um, it's just Bow Wow now. (Another hip-hop rhyme) :-)

Columbus representin'

[identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com 2005-01-09 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, but in the credits he's still got the "Lil." The movie came out several years ago.

So now he's all grown up and going to Reynoldsburg High instead of Reynoldsburg Junior High.

[identity profile] gabriellag.livejournal.com 2005-01-09 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
I know. I almost said Reynoldsburg representin' but it wasn't as funny.

Surely, he's homeschooled by now.

[identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com 2005-01-09 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, who knows? Is he still making records? I can't say I've heard any Bow Wow songs lately, but he was arguably bigger in the Midwest and West Coast (since he's on Snoop's label) than here. *shrug*

I miss Columbus.

[identity profile] gabriellag.livejournal.com 2005-01-09 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
Me too.

I was just there for New Years and it was much fun. I actually shouldn't complain as I'm a lot closer and headed back on Monday for a three day training.

It's just funny how much you become attached to a place.

[identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com 2005-01-09 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not attached to the place, per se, more the people and the memories. I had a good time there.

[identity profile] ebeth.livejournal.com 2005-01-10 02:42 pm (UTC)(link)
bow wow has a new song with jojo called "baby its you." hahaha. hes actually all grown up. lookie

[identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com 2005-01-10 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Woah, that's crazy, he is like a teenaged thug. Ha!

I will have to look for his new song and say "I knew him when." (Okay, so what if I didn't know him, I'm going to say it anyway.)
