You should try it just once. The show is like crack. It's a medical soap opera BIG TIME but without the St. Elsewhere feel. :)

Well, this one is heavy on the medicine, but there's also some interpersonal drama, especially with the character the show is named for. He's high drama.

Hey, you like House eh? I'm glad there are two or three people watching. Though I have to admit, I do get tired of the fact that you know the first four or five things they try will be wrong and they will notice that it has a negative side effect, so then its not *Insert diagnosis here*. Hugh Laurie is AMAZING though.. Especially considering I remember him in his goofy role in Blackadder goes Forth, and as the caring father in Stewart Little!

I think Hugh Laurie is tremendous. I love him!

And yeah, it's definitely a "formula show" in that you know there will be a lot of misdiagnoses and near-death experiences. But for me, I /love/ all the misdiagnoses because I am a medical nut... so the more times they're wrong, the more times I learn about new conditions and problems!

SVU is the best, but House is definitely close! I'm also hooked on almost every trashy reality show! :)
