We're here, we're... you know.

Here I am in the common room of our little women-only B&B letting you all know that we're alive, Key West is wicked hot, we're melting, and it's fun. Yesterday we stood on the southernmost point of the US (90 miles to Cuba) in the 93 degree heat, sweat dripping off our scantily-clad bodies. Good times.

We refreshed in the 90-degree pool water (funny, that) and headed to dinner of crabs. Mmmm, crabs.

Because we are losers, we then spent the rest of the night in our air conditioned room watching reality shows on MTV. Holy carp, I did not know that such things as "The 70s House" exist. It's food for my deliciously nerdy soul!

Today we promise to do exciting things like go parasailing or something, so that I don't spend all of our honeymoon time watching mid-80s-dumb-kids in polyester making a mockery of my early childhood.

~//~

In more serious news, I miss my daddy. Like WOAH. When we got off the plane in Ft. Myers, Jen's dad was SOOOO happy to see her and damn, I miss that. No one was ever quite so happy to see me as my dad was.

Poo.

93? Holy shit, it was actually hotter HERE. We've been hitting 95 with alarming frequency, and at 11am it's already 91.

[identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com 2005-08-06 01:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I noticed (on the little weather map in the newspaper) that you guys have been getting the HOT HOT HOT.

Sucks for yoooooo.

[identity profile] gimmeapony.livejournal.com 2005-08-03 03:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Turn that tv off! Don't you know I would kill to be in Key West right now? :)

[identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com 2005-08-06 01:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Wouldn't you rather come when it was a little cooler, so you could escape the Boston cold and end up in the tropics with your boat drinks?

It's hard to do night stuff because Jen gets really tired, and her foot was really bothering her from walking all day. It also doesn't help that we're not big drinkers, though I would have liked to catch the Sunset Festival one of the nights. Ahh well.

Dude, yeah. I posted about that job before we left on vacation. I haven't submitted my resume yet because I have a couple of people putting feelers out for what (exactly) they're looking for, but I will be mailing my letter/resume when I get back to Boston.

Thanks for thinking of me! I think I caught it the day it was posted, and I am /dying/ to get back and apply. If you know anyone with any pull at UMass, let me know and I'll suck up to them. :)

Thanks! I will totally look into that first one. (The second one would be helpful if I lived in the area, but since it's a 5hr/week job it won't be terrible useful in the sense of relocating.)
