Raise your hand if you're sure!

I bought this new deodorant the other day because it was "buy one, get one for 1c" at CVS (Adidas 24-hour sport pure powder scent) and it is STINKY! Ugh, the scent is so strong and I can smell my own armpits and I can't stand perfumes and scents, UGH UGH UGH.

Hopefully I will stay dry in the heat, though!

Quick Quiz: What is your favorite deodorant/scent? Guys, girls, others - I wanna know!

I really like the new Secret Platnium Genuine. It's not at all over-power. I also like Degree, Shower Fresh

I like Sure baby powder and I alternate it with Dove Fresh scent or one of the powdery ones.

i love the secret platinum something or other. the white creamy stuff that's not a solid. i don't care about the scent, but it works GREAT.

Baby Powder

Secret Platinum, shower fresh scent or whatever it's called. I loathe anything that's baby powder scented.

I've used the Adidas stuff before and I liked it.

I use Secret Shower Fresh because I hate picking scented things and didn't see anything unscented the last time I bought deodorant.

He alternates between Arrid XX Dry unscented and some Axe stuff that I like the smell of (Phoenix, I think).

[identity profile] rockymtnhigh.livejournal.com 2005-08-13 06:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Axe Phoenix (although I picked up some Axe Unlimited when Phoenix was out of stock, and that's pretty good too)

Degree Baby Powder Fresh.

[identity profile] cappucinogrrl.livejournal.com 2005-08-13 08:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Secret Spring Breeze. It's scented, but it's mild and I really like the scent.

I think Dove makes really good unscented stuff.

Kiss my Face Liquid Rock.

Not an anti-persiprant, no smell...You will sweat but you won't smell. I have tested this in Ohio heat/humidity.

degree baby powder or fresh.

gotta be the oozy deoderant that you click up - not the solid.

i'm very very picky.

I developed an allergy to four or five different brands, and was beginning to think I was doomed to stinkiness when I stumbled across those crystals. I think someone above mentioned the Kiss My Face Liquid Rock...well, this is the rock before they dissolve it. You run water on it and rub it in your armpit. I find it works nicely. It has no scent whatsoever, leaves no residue, and yet keeps odors at bay. :)

Secret invisible solid, any scent.

[identity profile] jeffholton.livejournal.com 2005-08-13 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I dunno if it's my *favorite*, but I can always recognize Secret.

...Strong enough for a man...to smell, apparently.

By the way, you can replace that "c" up there with an "¢" and it will look like "¢."

(Please do not ask what I had to type to get ¢ to actually display on the screen instead of actually being rendered as a cent sign. It's too convoluted.)

i have some kind of Tom's of Maine kind that's good but i can't think of the specific scent name.

i've had that smelly kind. it was so strong it made me sneeze and i had to throw it away. darned chemicals.

[identity profile] kjtoo.livejournal.com 2005-08-14 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
I'm guessing (without peeking at the source) that it was "¢", and I had to type "¢" to get that to display properly and it just gets silly after that.

I use Mitchum clear gel. I have no idea what flavor. Probably raspberry.

[identity profile] iansha.livejournal.com 2005-08-14 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
Secret Platinum Lavender splash.

It is my current fave :)

You are wikked cool. :)

But...using the word "flavor" to describe one's choice of deodorant is just...yuck.

[identity profile] cappucinogrrl.livejournal.com 2005-08-14 07:01 am (UTC)(link)
What, you don't eat your deodorant? Weirdo. ;)

[identity profile] agoodsamaritan.livejournal.com 2005-08-14 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Kathryn introduced my icky pits to Mitchum's Clear Gel (unscented). Life before this deodorant was my friend Adam and I competing to find the one deodorant out there that would stop our visible sweating problem. I can stop searching now. It is the best damned deodorant ever. I used to sweat in Oregon's dry heat, even in the winter time, and in North Carolina's sticky humidity? Not at all. It's fabulous.

::end commercial::

Can you tell I'm pretty happy about this discovery? ;)

[identity profile] kjtoo.livejournal.com 2005-08-16 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, in the unlikely event that someone licks my underarm, I'd like to think that it will be a pleasant experience.

Having tasted more Secret Powder Fresh than (I suspect) most, I can testify that the addition of a little raspberry flavor would be a big improvement.

And not to put too fine a point on it: Yes, I am wikked cool. It's a fairly well-kept secret, so... shh!

[identity profile] jeffholton.livejournal.com 2005-08-16 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
And not to put too fine a point on it...

I have TMBG's "Birdhouse" stuck in my head now.

Thanks. :)

You're welcome. It's all part of the service.
