Pumpkin Thief

I made the kick-ass-est pumpkin for Halloween (I will upload pictures someday). Jen and I carved pumpkins on Sunday and I put them outside Monday for the trick-or-treaters and they were a /huge/ hit. People were gushing about them all night and my landlords were gushing about them and The Movie Thief loved them, too. My pumpkin was a spider and I was really pleased with how it turned out, which is good because I worked my tooshie off.

On Tuesday morning, our pumpkins were up on the porch by the door.
On Wednesday morning, Jen's pumpkin was up on the porch by the door (rotting).

SOMEONE STOLE MY PUMPKIN!

Jerks.

Uh, it had to be the movie THIEF!

Ha, TMT is the nickname I gave my downstairs neighbor because he used to take my Netflix movies "accidentally."

Cool! I love pumpkins!

Yikes. Well, at least now they have to deal with its rotty corpse. It's after Halloween anyway.

True enough. That reminds me, I have to get rid of the rotting corpse of Jen's pumpkin tomorrow.

Seriously, what's going on in society right now where are pumpkins aren't safe on our front stoops?!

Yeh, our first year at Hyde Square, my pumpkins were smashed the first night they were out, before Halloween, for no good reason. After that, I kept them inside in the windows.

Living where I do now has its disadvantages, but in a year and a half none of my outdoor decorations have been disturbed at all. I was really worried about my pumpkins and flower pots last year, but they sat fine for over a week. Same this year. And no one bothered the scarecrow either.

It's sad that I am nowadays surprised at there not being vandalism.

Well, at least I didn't find it smashed up in a million pieces the other morning. I sit comfortably thinking that someone liked it so much that they wanted to enjoy it in their own home for a few days.

I've never been vandalized before this apartment when my car got egged. It's just never happened to me. It's so infuriating.

Oddly enough no one has ever bothered my pumpkins in this neighborhood. Not even when the hooligans used to brazenly throw rocks through car windows. In fact, I used to come home from work to find someone had put candles in them for me!

And yet, now that my parents have moved to their upscale middle class neighborhood the upscale hooligans smashed her pumpkins on her stairs. You just need to move to a worse neighborhood! Then the pumpkins will be safe.

I'm starting to think you're right! I've never had a pumpkin desecrated before. I have never had a car vandalized. Before my car got egged here, the only thing that ever happened was when some jerkoffs knocked down and stomped all over Sean's and my SnowTransvestite.

You should feel flattered it was good enough to steal and not just smashed.

Oh, I do! I really do!
