I took an hour-long work at the Pope John with Coworker Marti Maraschino. It was a good time, though she probably heard more than she ever wanted to about our fertility process. HA. Dudes seriously, don't get me started because I /will/ talk for an hour. All it takes is a smidgen of interest (or even feigned interest). I am unstoppable.

As an aside, I wonder if she minds that I call her Marti Maraschino. I can't stop. I've called her that since the very first day.

I just heard Drunk Guy out the window. He was talking to The Movie Thief about us... something about how he didn't damage our car to be malicious and didn't even remember it happening. I'll have to ask TMT about the whole conversation (I missed some) but I wanted to yell out the window, "DUDE, JUST PAY THE FRICKIN COURT AND SHUT UP." (When the DA took him to court on the vandalism charge, the judge agreed to drop the charges provided he paid $515 - for our estimates - in restitution by the end of July.) I don't want to deal with him on a personal level, I just want to get the car fixed.

I'm not hungry but I want to eat more blueberries. This is a serious problem. I tried having some lemonade instead in the hopes that it would take the edge off, but nope - still want blueberries.

Freeze the blueberries that way this winter when you REALLY want them you can thaw them and have yummy berries. Or you can use them to ice your hand after you hit the idiot neighbor. :-)

BTW I'm the same way as you about fertility treatments. I've decided it's not a dirty little secret so I tell everyone. My friends are going to start ducking and running soon.

I think I will freeze one of the pints of blueberries so I don't have to worry about them going bad. (I hate wasting produce.) But I'm almost done the first pint and I'm sure I can do major damage on the second through the weekend. Maybe I'll make blueberry pancakes! :)

And heck, it's OBVIOUS that we're needing to use AI to get knocked up, since last time I checked we're both girls. So I think people automatically assume all kinds of crazy things about how we're going to do it (one of my coworkers assumed that we would have to go straight to IVF!) and I like to educate.

Besides, I'm so nerdy and I think it's COOL!

I think the thing that surprises me is how many different ways an RE can help a couple/person. You only hear about the folks having IVF and 6 kids at a time. You rarely hear about all the other options and how rare that many multiples are. I also educate as often as I can.

A root beer place has gone up where the Zoots dry cleaners used to be across the street from the North Quincy Stop&Shop. It just screams 'competing with Friendly's'. I think we should hit it for ice cream floats when it opens.

I agree 100%. Jess and I discussed this quickly in passing at Liz&Matt's cook out on the 4th. I think we need to become early customers of Henry's Rootbeer Stand. I just love the idea of going to a ROOTBEER STAND.
