Catch-all Update

Last week, we put an official offer on that house in Easthampton that had all of those pianos in it. We were told at the showing by the seller's agent that she was moving into a condo because the house was too big for her. Only all of a sudden once she had an offer she suddenly needed time to find a place to live. She wanted us to sign a contract with a contingency that we can't close until she finds a new place, and she wasn't going to consider any sort of transitional housing pre-condo. Which she hasn't really been looking for. So why list your damned house, yanno? But whatever, we went back earrrrrrly this morning to look at a couple more houses and re-evaluate our options. We're waiting for our realtor to do some Secret Reconaissance (okay, just some research) on two houses before we think about next steps.

I went in yesterday morning for my first bloodwork and ultrasound for the cycle. It was CD8, and I had done 75iu of Follistim on CD3 and 150iu of Follistim on CD4-7. Yesterday, I had many many small follicles (one at 12mm, the rest smaller) and an E2 in the 300s. This apparently freaked my doctor out because I got a call back at 11am (usually it's somewhere between 1 and 3) saying to drop down to 75iu for CD8-9 and come back again on the morning of CD10 (which is tomorrow) for repeat bloodwork and ultrasound. Yesterday I had a /ton/ of EWCM and today not so much, so I'm nervous that my E2 is going down and dropping the dose so much is going to kill things. I guess I'll find out tomorrow. I've been feeling weird O-pains all day, though... so maybe some of those smaller follicles are dropping off but the others and having a party.

[livejournal.com profile] happy2beso was in town this weekend for [livejournal.com profile] geniusorafool and [livejournal.com profile] umassglori's wedding, and I got to accompany her as her date! She came in late Friday night and we stopped at Circles on Saturday afternoon because she wanted to go to a yarn store, then went out for cheap sushi. We gussied up for the wedding and had a fantastic time! The people at our table were real characters and we spent the night taking REALLY inappropriate photos and dancing the night away. It was the best wedding I wasn't invited to EVER! Also, it was fantastic to see Lara, because she is the greatest and I miss her, and it was sad to drop her off at the airport this morning. Congrats, Derek and Gloria!!

Today we hung out with [livejournal.com profile] hope_persists a little bit between chats with the realtor. She was spending time with her neighbor's 9-week-old kitten. SO CUTE! You could just die of the cuteness. Now I want another kitten, but that is a terrible idea.

The new Matrix, Neo, is still quite lovely. It's worse on gas (a little) than the Focus in-town, but it rides so nicely. I need to get used to the size still but I'm sure work will help with that ASAP. We took it to the wedding and it was totally riding in style. Yay! We'll take it to Grandma's tomorrow, and to the doctor.

I think that'll do me for now. Night!

You named your Matrix Neo? That's so awesome.

Hee. It was Jen's suggestion really. But I will take all of the credit!

I want a kitten too. It's not a good idea, but I want one.

Here's hoping there is a HUGE party going on in your ovaries right now! ;-)

There seems to be! But only on the left. Weird.

I need to get used to the size still but I'm sure work will help with that ASAP.

Ford Focus - Length: 171.3 in. Wheel Base: 103 in.

Toyota Matrix - Length: 174.9 in. Wheel Base: 102.4 in.

Problem Solved. :)

Wow, that's so weird. Because the Matrix seems so much bigger (it's definitely taller).

But I need to get used to just the, you know, size-feeling of it. Like when you go to parallel park and you know how far back to go, etc.

Thanks for the research!

Actually, I posted those backwards. It's the Matrix with the smaller numbers. Thanks to my wife for poi nting that out for me. So, to fix.

Dude, there's NO WAY. Or if there is, I need to figure it out in my little brain.

If you look on the street, the Matrix is HUGE - taller AND wider.

[identity profile] scirocco.livejournal.com 2006-10-10 06:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, taller (5 inches) and wider (3 inches), but also almost 4 inches shorter, and a shorter wheelbase as well. Just get used to parking your butt 3 inches further from the curb, and not hitting your head getting out. :)

[identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com 2006-10-10 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
The wide is okay because I'm pretty deft with the sideview mirrors, I just need to get used to where the back is, even if it's shorter. With the Focus, I could see the back end of the car practically in the sideview. With the Matrix, it kind of rounds in and I don't have a good picture of how close I am.

Yet.

Can't wait to see those pictures. ;)

[identity profile] judecorp.livejournal.com 2006-10-10 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I've got to get off my butt and upload them. Maybe tomorrow night when I start my bachelor lifestyle. ;)

I can't wait to get those other folks' pictures, too!

Thanks for the well wishes...we're back in MA and we are waiting anxiously (nervously?) to see these pictures that have been alluded to...

Glad you're back, and I hope you had a great time. :)

Can't wait to see those photos!
