Feelin' hot hot hot!

Woah, it was hot yesterday! In the hottest part of the day we ended up scouring a couple of stores to look at lawn mowers, then came home and did a bunch of baby room stuff, and all of a sudden it was 9:30 and I had some serious fankles (fat ankles) and figured it was time to chill out. Oh, and eat dinner.

It still seems like nothing is done, and we still don't have a lawn mower. I guess we'll have to do that today.

I love buying things we don't have money for! And by love, I mean HATE.

onceupon and I need to get a lawnmower as well. We are considering Craigslist, since Teh Homez Deep-O wants at least $250 that we don't actually have. We could get a non-motorized mower for about $80 to $120, but we really don't have that just now either. The worst part is that the grass is getting out of control and we really need to do *something*. Maybe I'll ask the landscaping guys from the complex across the street how much they would want to give our lawn a quickie...

Yeah, having to buy expensive things totally sucks. We ended up shelling out $200 for the lawnmower and another $30 or so for the heavy duty extension cord. If this thing doesn't last, I'm gonna be really cheesed!

No lawnmowers on freecycle? It sounds like you're getting a lot done, even if it doesn't feel like it.

There have been a couple of lawnmowers on Freecycle, but either they "need repair" (which we don't know jack about) or they get snatched up in like 4 seconds. We've tried for WEEKS!

I have to say, I'm pretty psyched about the electric as well because of the lack of noise and smell. The long cord will take some getting used to but I'm sure we will figure something out. :)

i had been using the electric weed wacker so i am pretty use to it, but it was not as bad as i thought. plus its a pretty good trade off and theeasy on button made me just weep with joy
