So I went to Catholic school when I was little. And there were nuns there. Nuns with guitars. So we were taught songs for EVERYTHING. Including the 50 states. In alphabetical order. And I can sing it in double time.
I entered them in alphabetical order, too, because I am a major nerd.
I didn't realize it was a Catholic School song though.....we sang this in chorus in my public school, and then I worked in another public elementary school where the kids sang it.
It's not a Catholic school song at all. You're right. IU just meant it's the kind of thing they like to make you sing in Catholic school b/c they think it's important for kids to be patriotic and memorize stuff.
LOL I totally bombed it! Even when I asked my wife's help AND she looked up a frickin' map when we had 1 minute, 30 seconds left and we STILL failed... wow, I had no idea I was so crappy at geography!

If you want to know the 2 most obscure states in the US, the ones I missed despite having the map in front of me were....Oklahoma and Iowa.
