We bought an area rug for the living room so that perhaps Punk wouldn't conk her head on the hardwood floor quite so much.

The cats think it is the Biggest Scratching Post Ever.

I wonder how long before it is trashed. It's a good thing we got one of the "as is" former floor model from the store.

We should never really be allowed in stores. We went in for a rug, and walked out with a whole new set of stainless steel pots and pans. I have wanted to rid our house of non-stick cookware for a while but I don't know how we always end up with this stuff when we have no money. It's like having a baby has put all of my environmental paranoia into high gear. What will be next?

Why am I still awake? I am up so many times with Punk, yet I still go to bed after 11:00.

STUPID.

Having a baby did that same thing to me!!! Right now my paranoia is focused on my plastic water bottle. It doesn't help that a frightening lot of people that I know are getting cancer.

omg, I want more stainless steel pots and pans..and baking ware...but every time I mention that to the husband or family they think I am kidding. I AM NOT! Tim said in regards to my bringing it up the the other week, that if I really want them I should just go buy them. I replied "but it's a gift that would have made me happy! If I buy them myself then someone misses out on the opportunity to really get me something I want."

He just replied with "No one wants to buys someone pots and pans."

Anyway. Hurray for pans and a new rug.

Dunno about the having a baby, need to buy crap phase, but I'm right with you on getting area rugs just to have the cat decide it's a great place to scratch and sleep and rub her butt all over it.

Our cats do the exact same thing. We've tried area rugs several times to cover up ugly rental carpets or make hardwood more cozy and they just immediately destroy them. They think it was purchased for their personal use.

Cancer scares the crap out of me, seriously. Especially when young people get cancer. *shudder*

I have a couple of "bad" water bottles. (Nalgenes.) I want to switch to metal but realistically they're expensive and I just don't have it.

I am so excited for my stainless steel pans! Jen is going to wash them and then I can use them, yay! I can't wait to put my old pans on Freecycle.

It's a berber rug, so it's prime cat scratching material I guess.

Who am I kidding? They will scratch anything.

My cats are like that for curtains. We bought curtains for every room when we moved into this house and within ONE DAY they had damaged some of the sheers in the living room. Argh.

(Of course, we still have them up. Heh.)
