I got a call about another job. A real job. A job that is like a grown-up job and could actually pay real money, managing a really important program (linking people to health insurance) at a local hospital. Managing. A health insurance access. Program.

A program management job is actually offering me an interview! A HOSPITAL program management job!

I am probably sooooooooo ridiculously not qualified for this but maybe I can fake them out. The likelihood that managing a program at a hospital pays REAL money is actually quite high.

I applied online on Monday. The job's been posted since the end of February. I wonder why it hasn't been filled. Maybe all of the applicants are underqualified like I am. ;)

That sounds very similar to the kind of work that the company I am working for does. Good luck!

That sounds awesome! You can totally sell your self to them. (That sounded kind of wrong, do you know what I meant?)

I hope it works out for you!

Awesome, congratulations! Interviews are all about impressions - qualifications have little to do with it.

Cool beans!

You can doooooooo-eeeeet! When I found out that I'd been hired in my current position, I spoke with a woman in the same field whom I respect and admire. I was fretting that I felt under-qualified, that perhaps I'd fooled the folks who'd hired me, and that I was a bit intimidated by the challenges that lay ahead. She said most folks only know about 25% of what will be required of them in new positions, and that while many women admit to this fact, most men fake it till they make it. Her reassuring words made me think a lot, and they have been quite true in my own job and in my observations of others at my workplace. I work in a female-dominated profession, so I'm curious if this is true in other fields.

I have every confidence in you that you CAN do the job. A lot of employers KNOW that you won't know all there is to do your job right away. So in your interview, just focus on everything you DO know, how quick a learner you are, how much you enjoy new experiences and working with others, and how willing you are to embrace these new challenges!

I know you'll knock 'em dead!

She is still making herself gag when she is eating something that isn't fruit or a finger food. Weird kid. Maybe nothing is tasting good because she's congested? Now she is coughing a lot. Poor little Punkin.
