I am kind of proud of myself right now. I was just going through my little job search notebook where I write down where I applied and when I have interviews/calls and all of that.

So far, I have applied for 12 jobs at 11 different programs.
I have received calls from 7 programs.
I have had or have scheduled 5 first interviews and have 1 second interview.
I have to connect with folks from 2 others to schedule.

That's a 58% return rate! WOAH!

Big time pats on the back! It takes commitment to send out resumes and cover letters, keep track of where you've applied, line up interviews, send thank-yous, go on second interviews, etc. It's a job in and of itself. Kudos.

There are no BGJs to apply for. But that's okay. :) I will just be a BGSW!

Don't hate me, but I have never sent a thank-you note. I think maybe if I was working in the corporate world, or if I was ever going to get a job that paid more than peanuts, it might come up. But the social services jobs should really send ME thank-you notes for being willing to work hard for piddly salaries. :)
