awww... this was SO me when I first got mine (in the 7th grade) I actually got into screaming matches with my mom about it because my inability to put them in caused me to miss the buss (more than once)
it gets easier. I dont even need a mirror anymore - in fact, I think I put them in and take them out in my sleep sometimes. mine still get misshaepen sometimes - I have a tendency to rub my eyes a lot which ends up rubbing them in half. (yikes!)
just practice taking them out and putting them in at a time when you're not stressed or pressed for time (does one of those exist as a new mother? maybe not)
and if it doesn't get easier for you - take comfort that you look cute in glasses
