It's reasons like this that you should go by your baby's cues and what feels right to you and not what people might advise you to do.
This would never work with C. She seriously dislikes sleeping with us unless she's really sick. Otherwise she flops around and whines and can't sleep at all. Until she gets into her own bed.
But it works for you guys and that's what you need to go with.
