There are so many dishes piled up on my stove but I think I am going to go to bed instead. Because my darling daughter decided to be up and acting like a crazy person from about 1am until about 4am... and for whatever reason (even though I went to bed at a reasonable time) I couldn't fall asleep until about 12:30. Dead on my feet.

Punk goes to the neurologist tomorrow at 1pm. We've only been waiting for this appointment for about six months. I hope it's more than, "Go get an MRI." "No."

Did I mention that I'm tired? Because damn, I'm tired.

We rearranged furniture in the living room yesterday and have opened up the path from the living room to the dining room (previously barricaded by a PnP and a shelving unit). Punk loves having more space to play. And she loves getting involved with the dining room chairs.

I would like my child to walk.

I have a killer headache.

Our neurologist visit involved him looking at Roo, poking her a little bit, asking us a LOT of questions, and then, yes, saying to go get the MRI.

The MRI wasn't that bad. I mean, OK, it was awful, and I cried a lot, but stepping back now that it's over, it wasn't that bad. Ish. Sort of. I'm glad we did it. Just speaking as having gone through it. I'm dreading the bloodwork more, to be honest.

I hope you get some good answers. I suspect your answers will be different from ours (in a good way). *hug*

do you mean you'd like her to walk in general, like eventually? or now? cuz, you know you want to put that off as long as possible, right? ;) She'll be able to reach more and rn away from you faster and stuff. :) Z waited until 14 or 15 months, and that was fine by me.

but i know you're worried about her and that she's needin' this neuro exam, so I hope they're helpful!

when we brought shaya to the neuro, he didnt even have her chart, so didn't know what to look for. he did a basic exam and pronounced her fine (which she was, i suspect, at least in that regard), and that was that.

MRI sounds hellacious for a baby. they have to sedate them, right? ick. there's got to be another way to get information.

I don't need her to walk tomorrow but I would really like her to start making movements toward walking. She is just stuck and it is so frustrating to watch. I keep waiting for her to stand unassisted for a couple of seconds or /some/thing, just really show that she is moving forward in some way. She has now been crawling for nearly 7 months and pulling to stand for nearly 5. And now she is knee-walking which is majorly frustrating because once she finds something that works, she becomes even less motivated to work on something else.

Yes, they sedate little ones for MRIs, which I don't particularly like. Bleh.

I just don't see the point of getting an MRI. I mean, I suppose if I suspected some sort of brain abnormality or something, but I don't... and if there is one I don't know that I want to know. ;)
