judecorpSo Cary and I went out. It's kind of cool having a friend who recently (like, 2-3 weeks ago recently) split with his wife. He's kind of, like, looking for things to do. So our conversations usually go like this:
J: Hey!
C: Hey.
J: Whatcha doing? Have plans?
C: Nope.
J: You're going to go to [insert place here] with me.
C: Okay.
Today, I conned him into going to Ludlow's with me to see the Reaganomics, my favorite local band which also happens to be an 80s cover band. We went to Half Price books first (both of them) and then to coffee, and then we got to the bar just as they were playing "Just Like Heaven." (They started early, those fuckers.) The song itself made me miss the Princess. Princess and I haven't been exactly getting along lately, which is sad. I called tonight and apologized, and though I'm not /entirely/ sure of the details of my apology, it was worth it. I've missed her. Lots.
I also called the Ninja to apologize for her. I've been so... gah. So stressed and crazy and icky that I've been ubersensitive, and that sucks. I called Ninja originally while the Reaganomics were playing "I Wanna Be Sedated" (which I know she wants to learn to play), and she called back to say thank you. Then I called her when they had a set break, and we hashed some things out. I was sappy. DrunkJude.
My biggest fear in the universe is that they won't be friends with me anymore. I can't let that happen. I would apologize for anything before I let that happen. Seriously. Anything.
I tried calling Jodie when they played "Tainted Love" for their last song (I'd been holding out for that song), but she didn't answer. Probably sleeping. Phooey.
We had so much fun! We danced and danced, and I am more than a little tipsy. Christina commented on it, even. I think I had the High Octave Voice on. Oopsie. Still fun, though. Didn't get any of my paper done. Fuck it. I needed to go out.
I have "Big Ass Rock" in my head. Hee! And I think I'm going to crash now. But Princess and Ninja and Jode, I totally think the world of you all. Totally. I love you. And all of you, too. Thank you for bearing with me.

The lead singer takes himself Way Too Seriously to really screw it up. (Your looks are kinda pretty, when your face isn't screwing it up.)
Wow, it's so much easier to type this morning. Good, cause I have a paper to do.
