I'm sorry. It's definitely hard when other moms are bragging about what their kids are doing and it's impossible not to compare.
I think Yip95 said it well. It doesn't reflect on you as a mother. But I can see how it makes you feel badly.
I often wish things on people when they do stuff like that. Like... a mom I'd just met was going on about how she thought teething pain was a myth. Her evidence? Her son never complains when he's teething. From her sample of 1, she just believes this to be true. It must be that some whiny parents exaggerate the pain of teething. It can't simply be that she lucked out in that regard with kid #1, right? She was pg at the time, so I wished a cranky teether on her for her second kid. I don't know. Such thoughts make me feel better. (I never wish anything truly malicious on anyone. Just stuff like that.)
