One of many ironic little mysteries in my life as Punk's mama is that while she does not walk, she is completely capable of doing this:

little climber

Haha I found Zachary on top of my end table once before he was walking. I told him in no uncertain terms that he is doing things in the wrong order! :)

That just goes to prove that she is perfectly normal. She's choosing not to walk but she obviously has excellent leg motions, strength, and skillz.

And I think those overalls are THE CUTEST!

My mom likes to tell stories about my escapades as an infant - there is a picture of me, at 8 mths old on TOP of the piano. She was convinced I would walk by 9 months, but I did not until just before I was 11 mths old. Some kids just do things in strange order.

Heheh, yeah. Ben was climbing way before he walked. I didn't realize until later that that wasn't the way most kids do it!

Don't you agree that if they could do this, they could certainly walk? I always thought Ben could have walked much earlier than he did but was just cautious ... but then I was afraid I might just be reassuring myself. Anyway, once he started walking he was essentially running so maybe he (and Punk) just wanted to wait until all the skills were firmly in place!

when i saw this post it reminded me that you and your wife were in my dream last night. you were in a band at the concert i was at. you came out first and were the girl who led the group, then everyone else joined you and you guy were fantastic. in my dream, i wanted so much to get up and dance but nobody else was so i was too embarrassed to :D

anyway, just thought you'd like to know that in an alternate universe last night - you were totally a rockstar.

and your hair was rokken.

We are now in Vermont although I wouldn't say we were settled in (yet). I wanted to mention that Elliot didn't walk until she was 20 months old. She had loose hip joints. She didn't even pull herself to standing until she was 14 months old. And we were totally freaked out but in the end she walked fine. She is a hilariously girly runner but walks just fine. Frances walked at 14 months and Avery (the stinker) walked at 10 months and has been an overachiever ever since. Anyways...do you have any friends to introduce us to in Vermont? We're lonely. And nice.
