Hybrid still has a big mark-up. I was trying to sort out what my next car will be, and if I buy new, it'll be either a Ford Escape or a Hyundai Santa Fe. To go with a hybrid Escape, it's about $10k more than the Santa Fe (which is only available with a gas engine).
