Happy Friday, campers!

I went to bed, get this, at 11:15pm. Before midnight. I can't even tell you the last time I went to bed before midnight that didn't involve collapsing from exhaustion (like when I fell asleep at 10:30 after being up for 36 hours or so). I got nearly 8 hours of sleep, even. I told myself that if I tossed and turned until 11:45pm, I would get up and call The Princess. But I never made it.

Princess is going away for the weekend (I bet she has Monday off, damn her black heart!), and I didn't get to touch base with her. Phooey. So this morning, before I left for work, I left a message on her machine. I am one pathetic Knight sometimes. Don't tell anyone.

Two of my very dear friends (binkiegirl and dietbubba) were unhappy last night, and being the Libras that we are, The Samurai and I got way too involved with wanting to make everyone happy, and made ourselves miserable in the process. Note to self: I really /do/ have a Superman complex. Feh.

My staff meeting got cancelled this morning. One of the reasons I came in early and set myself up for a 12 hour day was that I thought I would lose this 1.5 hours due to staff meeting. And now I have all this time. Hrm. I think I see an early lunch in my future. (Online divination courtesy of me, just for you, khaosworks!)

Aah well. Time to be productive some more. TGIF, everyone in LJ land. Considering getting completely blitzed with The Bink tonight and passing out on her sofa.

I think A. should go visit his mom for Thanksgiving. Not only would he get to spend time with her (she hasn't been feeling well and stuff), but I would get a long weekend in my apartment without him. It sounds way too good to be true. It probably is. I doubt he'll go for it. They don't have a holiday in Canada then, anyway.

Cross your fingers and toes for me, minions. I need all the help I can get! :)

Who am I?

I was asked to write a short bio of myself for the work website. Here's what I came up with:

Jude [lastname] is a brand new GAA with GLBT Student Services who moonlights as an MSW II student in the College of Social Work. Having an immense Superman complex, she champions social justice and lives for progressive activism. When she's not wearing a red cape and tights, Jude finds time to obsess over more mundane distractions such as 1980s pop culture, with a particular penchant for The Smurfs, the A-Team, and John Hughes films.
