Greetings from New England!
Mar. 24th, 2002 08:30 pmI made it. I got in at 4:30pm, knocked on my grandmother's door, and was just in time for dinner. Hee. They eat like clockwork, so I got home cooked food! YAY! After that, I was totally beat and desperately wanted to shower, so I did. While I was in the bathroom, I heard my grandmother (she's losing her hearing, so she talks /really/ loudly) ask my father if I was going to Boston so much because I have a boyfriend there. HA HA HA!
Of course, when I got out of the shower and asked Dad about it, he denied it. He then told me that he would not ever mention my "personal life" to my grandmother. What he meant, though, was that he would never mention Jennifer. He then went as far as to say that he didn't ever want me to say anything, either. No. Actually, what he said was that he and my brother had talked about it and decided that it was better for everyone if they didn't know. I'm so thrilled that they talk about me and make decisions for me. Not.
Granted, I have no desire to tell my grandparents that I'm seeing /anyone/, ESPECIALLY when I'm still legally married (because, well, they would have a bird), but... hell, if they asked me, I would not lie about it. And my grandmother's no dummy. *shrug*
On the up side, I went to my mom's today and had a really yummy salmon dinner, and my memere (my mother's mom) was there too and seemed to have a good time. (Usually she seems miserable.) Mom even asked about Jennifer /twice/. I was so thrilled about that. She asked first, after I'd dropped her name about twenty-seven times, how my "relationship life" was going, and I must have turned 12 shades of red, ducked my head, and stammered. Hee. I was all, "Umm... uhh... yeah, it's umm... yeah, it's good. Really good." Hee. A little while later, she asked how her interview in Boston had gone. Progress. Yay. :)
I thought that the church was going to explode when I went to Mass this morning. Actually, it was what I was thinking about during Palm Sunday Mass that made me fear for my life! Eeek! I am incorrigible. IMPURE THOUGHTS!
I'm going to go call a girl now, but there's something I need to say first:
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday dear
crena!
Happy birthday to you!
Hug! We'll have to get together when I come back. :)
