...but I used a little too much force.

Yesterday was movie-riffic! I saw Murder By Numbers with qaphsiel, pattisimmons, and 356dreamer, who had just gotten a haircut. Before that, Cary, Patti and I had Chipotle and coffee, and played Sorry! at the coffee shop at Crossroads. Patti won - she is a Sorry! scoundrel!

I got home and chatted on #columbus with whod81, badadam, and starzz for a while. I think chelve was on for a bit, too. I was antsy and didn't want to be in the house, so I brought some books and CDs to Half Price Books and then went to pattisimmons's house. Patti, Ryan, Adam, and I, along with scottsimmons, watched Moulin Rouge which, of course, I love, because I love Baz. Yay!

Patti and Scott's dog Millie laid on me, and I was covered in dog hair.

In other, less dramatic news:

I had a phone interview with the West End Boys and Girls Club in Allston, for an Education-type-person. The woman who interviewed me (Kristin) was this totally awesome woman that I'd love to hang out with, even if we never worked together. We were just chatting away like we knew each other... it was pretty dang cool.

She was interested in my community ed stuff, because she thought it would be all ropes courses (which it wasn't). And apparently she was interested in the Big Gay Part of my resume, because I guess she feels that their Club doesn't really address anything like that. She was all, "So what advice would you have for us?" Hee. I'm the Big Gay Expert. Or something.

She asked for one word to describe me, and I decided to go with the first one that came to me, instead of coming up with something interview-ish. So I said, "Fun."

There you have it. Time for work now. SO TIRED.

D-Day

Whine or Cheer?

Things to whine about:

1. I got a really amazing client last week, and I can't take her because she needs much more than I can give by graduation. And she totally rocks.

2. I'm coming down with something, and my tonsil is all swollen.

3. I'm exhausted. Completely exhausted. But I want to be awake to call a girl at 10:30.

4. A. left a cup of water on the bookshelf, and Daedalus spilled it all over my Living Dead Dolls. Water got in some of the sealed packages. I hope they don't get moldy.

5. Did I mention I feel completely run down?

6. I forgot to call my father yesterday.

7. Blue Hill Boys & Girls Club called to tell me I didn't make it to the next round of selection. Suckahs.

8. This weather blows.

Things to cheer about:

1. I saw the most adorable 6 year old girl this afternoon with bouncy curls. I want her to be my daughter.

2. I just ate. Whee!

3. I got out of work earlier than I was supposed to because of a cancellation.

4. Paperwork is turned in a date is set, and within my 'live in Columbus' time frame.

5. I had a lot of fun on that phone interview today.

6. CD101 played Echo and the Bunnymen.

7. My boyfriend said he'd go see Elvis Costello with me.

8. 1:00 cancellation means that I had lots of time to read at work, and instead of Crisis Intervention stuff, I read lots more of Stone Butch Blues. I'd forgotten how much I liked it.

I met up with Jan in the cafeteria. She was upset because some women in the bathroom claimed they thought she was a man. They said God didn't create women to look like men. "Then explain me," Jan answered them.
