Conversation at the B52s:
Jun. 29th, 2002 12:02 am[I ran into someone I used to work with at Stonewall.]
Me: Hello, Paul Miller!
Paul: [insert hug here] Hi, Jude!
Me: Wow, I wasn't sure if you'd remember me.
Paul: I'm really good at that sort of thing. Look at your hair!
Me: What's left of it...
Paul: Does that mean you're all the way over on our side now?
I was greeted with a triumphant smile and the biggest high-five I've ever received in my life.
Paul: You remember my partner?
Me: Of course.
Daryl: [blank look]
Paul: That's Jude. She was our intern last year.
Daryl: She had... more hair.
Paul: Those were here straight girl days.
Me: Hey now! I never said that!
It's nice to be remembered. Paul was fun to work with. He said he was glad I was staying in Columbus.

The B52s show was a lot of fun. I only knew five songs (their radio hits: Roam, Love Shack, Your Own Private Idaho, Good Stuff, and Rock Lobster), but all of the songs were really fun. I especially liked the Mesopotamia song and the Volcano song. Buckwheat Zydeco was the opening act and they were fun, too. One of the band members was playing his washboard metal shirt! I think
doulamel needs to get one of those, and then I can play it and feel her up at the same time. ;) I even got Mel to dance. Disco Doula! And this woman stumbled and fell on me and I caught her. I am such a heroic stud sometimes. There were SO MANY gay boys at the show. I love gay boys. I swear I am a gay boy trapped in a woman's body sometimes.

I love my neighborhood. I have the best parking space in the universe and I am /not/ /going/ /anywhere/ in my car until Sunday. I walked to ComFest. I walked to J&D's Diner. (We saw Sean and Adam on the way! YAY!) I walked to PromoWest Pavillion. I will walk to Pride tomorrow. I rule. I love my neighborhood. I love it in the sun, and at night, and when it's raining. I love that Missy Goodtimes lives right down the road, and so does Sean, and so does Bucky's Adam, and so does Milla.
Yay.
