At work, we're having all these goofy activities for the United Way. One of the activities involved submitting a baby/child picture of yourself to put on the wall. There will be a contest to match the pictures with the staff members, and also a "cutest baby" contest or something like that. Whee! I used this picture. Everyone knows it is me. People keep calling me the "Star Wars Kid," which is pretty funny since I'm not a sci-fi fan. I was wearing my
smurfbrother's clothes, of course.
What's cooler, though, is that before staff consensus decided it was me, the group was split half and half thinking I was a boy or a girl. Go me! Go me!
I don't like Wednesday nights much. I work until 9, and then I need to get home, clean the cat litter boxes, clean out the refrigerator, and empty the trash so I can take the trash barrels to the curb. By the time that's all done, usually it's 10pm before I eat dinner and begin unwinding. Last night around 11 or so, I found myself wrapped up in the desire to be in my own cocoon, my own headspace, and not be touched. Lucky for me, Ms.
kieron is very understanding.
It's really (nice but) weird having her here. The last time we did this whole dating thing, I was here and she was in New Jersey. I think right now we're still trying to cram everything into our minutes together. I don't think it's hit home yet that we have all the time in the world. Very interesting. I'm sort of looking forward to getting used to it, but not so much that I want to begin taking her for granted. Things really are wonderful. We're both working very hard, and she's been so good about putting up with all of my crap.
Tonight: work until 6:30, then a quick trip up to the home of the best boyfriend in the universe (
whod81) for dinner at The Dube, and then another quick trip home to catch up with Jennifer and my kitties, and then another quick trip to Bernie's to catch The Reacharounds and Manda & the Marbles. RAWK!!
