Work and Rhode Island
Jun. 23rd, 2005 06:31 pmI could have left work at 1:30 this afternoon, especially when I found out that I didn't need to go to this training I'd signed up for. I ended up staying until about 4:00 talking to one of my coworkers that I don't usually talk to much. Sometimes I think she likes me and other times I think she hates me. Today she seemed to like me. Either way, I like her fine. So that was nice, to talk to someone I don't usually talk to. Even if I could have been at home talking to the cats. Or at the gym, where I never am anymore.
I've been trying to bring up to my Director that we might be moving to Rhode Island and she always changes the subject. (She doesn't want me to leave.) Today I actually went into her office and said, "Candace, I know you don't want to hear this at all but it's VERY likely that we'll be moving into my dad's house." I mean, really, when it comes down to it, we can pay $1300/month in rent or we can live in a free house. DUH.
So tomorrow in supervision I'm going to ask my supervisor if she thinks I should continue to take new cases. Maybe I'll take all of the ones that are turning 3 in a couple of months or something. *shrug* Doesn't matter to me either way.
I sat on the second floor porch for a while with Ralph (my cat). And damn if she hasn't been whining at the door ever since we came inside. I guess I made a big mistake letting her hang out outside for a while. Whoopsie.
My brother's going to come play with me on Saturday after my eye appointment. I am so excited I could just squee all over the house! YAY!
