I've had a very full weekend. Now I will tell you about it and you will pretend to be interested.
So on Friday I went to work, and then I came home and I was going to write papers. Of course, I didn't do anything like that, and later I hung out with Lara. Lara and I hung out until it was time to pick John up from the airport, which we did, and then went to Brazen Head in Dublin with Patti, Steve, Ronda, and Patrick. Friday was a genderbender of a day, since a cashier called me "sir" (while I was buying women's underwear, no less), and a girl walked into a restroom I was in and gasped in that "I'm in the men's room!" kind of way. Ha ha. It was fun, though.
On Saturday morning, Lara and John were kind enough to pick Jennifer up from the airport so I could go to kickboxing. They dropped her off and we hung out at my house and talked for a while, and later we went to a cookout at Ronda and Patrick's house. Ronda is an amazing cook and everything was delicious. Steve, Lara, John, Rose, Sean, and Nick were there, too, and everyone seemed to have a great time. Sean is a famous comic book writer or something, and Ronda stalks him and now I want to stalk him too. After the cookout, we went home and crashed.
On Sunday, we slept in and I watched part of Say Anything and we eventually went to get food or something. I think I have a mental block about Sunday. I can't for the life of me think of what I did. Is that when I saw About a Boy? Yeah, I think so. OH YEAH! Jen and I met Lara and John at Easton, at at Chipotle, went to Maggie Moo's, and watched a street performer. (No way, man, no way!) He juggled 7 balls! Then we went to the movies, came home, watched But I'm a Cheerleader and did laundry.
On Monday, Jennifer and I piled into Steve's GROOVY microbus (Smurfette) and went to Kings Island, which was SO. MUCH. FUN. We rode the whole Beast family (Beast, Son of Beast, and Beastie) and went on bumper cars, a spooky ride, antique cars, the Eiffel Tower, an adventure roller coaster, and some other stuff. And we ate fair food and watched bad karaoke. YAY! I went into the Sanrio store and found nothing. Bleh. After, we drove back to Columbus and met Lara and Melissa at Tee-Jay's with the funny server who wanted me to have sex with Steve on our tabletop.
On Tuesday, Jen and I slept in again. We were supposed to have lunch with Steve and Melissa but they bailed, so we went to get lunch at PF Chang's (mmmm) and went to Best Buy where I contemplated a new car stereo. I bought the Harry Potter DVD, yay. We attempted to find a geocache but it was a bust, and I got cranky. Later that night, we were supposed to watch movies with Melissa, but that fell through, so we went to the second-run theatre to see John Q which was really good but the kind of movie that gets me all fired up. Later, Jen and I sat in one of the playgrounds at my apartment complex and talked.
We woke up this morning, argued quite a bit, and I drove her to the airport. I went to work for the specific purpose of having lunch with my boss and making 3 phone calls. I did those things, and scheduled a 1.5 hour internet survey thanks to Patti ($65, whoo!) on Friday, and now I'm going to procrastinate.
I have both of my papers due tomorrow. But a nice dude I work with gave me the name and phone number for a job around here, which I will call. However, I've decided to take July off to travel and chill out.
I'm going cross-country in the microbus with Steve, Lara, and (I think) Patti. Could life get any better?
