judecorp | Twenty thousand miles to an oasis...

This morning I:
1. Woke up after 4 hours of sleep.
2. Went to kickboxing.
3. Reserved a rental truck.

Today I need to:
~~1. Shower.~~
~~2. Get something to eat.~~
~~3. Find something to wear tonight.~~

I went to birthday parties for Cary and Saci. What completely different experiences! Cary's party was interesting because:
a. It was a "grown up" party, with food trays. (mmm, shrimp cocktail!)
b. There were friends from two areas of Cary's life, and we sat on opposite ends of the room.
c. Everyone was sitting and chatting.
d. Lara and I took stupid pictures of ourselves.
e. The drinks were in a cooler in the utility room.

Saci's party was interesting because:
a. It was her 21st birthday.
b. The host of the party said, "So /you're/ Jude," in a voice that made me feel famous!
c. People were setting off bottle rockets.
d. I got lei'd. By Saci!
e. The drinks were in the bathtub.
f. Someone lit a car on fire.

I had a pretty good night, though. It was cool to just relax at Cary's and meet some of his friends, and I had a lot of fun taking photos. And we had birthday cake. Mmm. I wish I could have stayed longer at Saci's... I missed Ryan by a few minutes and really didn't get to talk to anyone much, like Adam, but I didn't really want to stick around for a car-fire. Maybe I'm old, but I just didn't want to participate in destruction of property. I think it's really repulsive and stupid, and it was starting to get smoky and smelly. I made the guy call the fire department because the bush and the tree were starting to catch on fire.

However, I told Saci to tell Ryan I loved him, and she remembered to give him the message! YAY! And I got to talk to him on Adam's phone. So it wasn't a total bust. After leaving Saci's, Lara and I went back to her place. I was supposed to help her clean her room, but I was pretty useless on that front. Whups.

I was up until 4ish am playing Text Twist, and then I couldn't sleep. Damn.
