The lowdown:

But my Children's supervisor is on vacation.
So she has a message in to someone else.
Then the background check and the drug screen.
Then orientation.
Estimated start date - 25 August
Not the $30K she originally thought she could get me.
But the amount I said I needed.
Arrangements made for kickboxing. BOTH NIGHTS!
Wow. It looks like, provided I'm not a drug-using axe-murderer, I might have a job.
She said, "One of the things that makes you a good match is that the second shift hours really seem to fit your lifestyle, instead of someone just taking the job because they need a job." I bit my tongue to stop from saying, "Yeah, I just got up an hour ago."
So who wants to be the first to celebrate with me?
