A lobotomy and some tights.
Sep. 8th, 2002 02:02 amThe time has flown by and things have been very interesting - surreal, really. I keep expecting the clocks to melt and such, but that is much more of a Coupland thing to say than something that usually comes out of my mouth.
Work is okay, but it's hard to go from being on an extended vacation to having to put in 40 hours a week. I keep slacking on all of my home stuff and I don't know how I got it all done before. Craziness. At least this week I get to start my regular hours and can sleep in. Oh glorious day. I can go to Bernie's and to midnight bowling. Score.
Jennifer went to pick her friend Katinka up in Chicago on Friday. I don't know what was weirder: her being gone, or my reaction to her being gone. I didn't want her to go, and I knew it was temporary and she would be back that day (talk about a lot of driving!). I guess I'm kind of getting used to her being here, which is fun. And Katinka is totally cool.
Last night, Steve and I went to visit Melissa in the hospital. I swear we almost got kicked out. By the time we got back, Jen and Tink were almost here. Today we took Tink to Easton and ate nummy cheesecake, and I got the balloon lady to make me an obnoxious hat. Yay! We came back and headed to Gallery Hop. I ran into Former Coworker Adam and his partner Todd,
oneedge and Meg, and caught up with
chutup and
356dreamer. We went to Coffee Table to meet
the_toy_revival and her friends Colin and Cassie. Good times.
rebacrwfrd called and invited us all over, so we went up there and saw
pattisimmons and
badadam, too. I sure do love my baby brother.
I feel like I have so much to say, especially about Jennifer's visit, but I don't have the energy or, more important, the words. I don't want to go back to work on Monday. Too much to learn. No time to learn it.
