Happy Valentines Day to each and every one of you, but especially to YOU.

Tonight we're going to see the Indigo Girls. This is pretty damned special to us for a few reasons:

1. They're my favorites, and I love them.
2. They're her favorites, and she's never seen them.
3. They helped us get back together.

#3 may sound ridiculous and stupid, but let me tell you a little sappy story. When I went to see the Indigo Girls in Atlanta in June (thanks, kungfoogirl!!) for my graduation, I was sitting beside Christina and singing and having a grand old time. I noticed that in front of us was this adorable older lesbian couple who spent most of the night in each other's arms and singing to each other. It was so effing sweet. Later in the evening, when it started to get dark, they were slow dancing together, continuing to sing into each other's eyes. It melted my heart (a little). But more than that, I wanted The Girl^TM there with me, singing along to every song. I wanted someone to wrap her arms around me and whisper the words into my ears. More than that, I wanted her. I've been wanting to take her to see the Indigo Girls since then. Matter of fact, I called her the day after that concert in June and told her exactly that.

Coincidence that they're coming to Columbus on Valentine's Day? Sometimes there are no coincidences.

They didn't say anything about their personal lives... but they made some Valentines Day cracks (like, "This song is about despair, perfect for Valentines Day"). It was a good show. Not the best one of theirs I've ever seen (I prefer to see them in the summer, and outdoors), but it WAS the acoustic duo, and that was AWESOMENESS.

AND I get to meet Dar Williams in about 1.5 hours!!
