He has a boyfriend now!

judecorpSo tonight was the ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY with the best boyfriend ever, 
Ryan. We went to Mongolian Barbecue. Because I picked Ryan up directly from work, I am still wearing work clothes. And today I happen to be wearing work clothes that are girly. But oddly enough, both the host /and/ the server thought I was a guy! They both called Ryan and me "fellas." And I'm wearing a girly sweater! How thoroughly bizarro. And then they were totally embarrassed and apologetic. As if I care. Although I kind of care today, because I look like a total girl! Hee.
So Ryan got this big piece of calamari and he wanted to keep it as a pet so I took it into the bathroom (the WOMEN'S bathroom) and cleaned it off. This woman was totally staring at me. Definitely worth it.
I don't say it much, not to him and not to anyone, but I really and truly adore that boy. He is one of my bestest friends ever, even though it seems like we don't usually say anything of substance. The connection is just there, without having to be worked on. It's like singing the "ooo ooo" parts of "Sympathy for the Devil."
So Happy Anniversary to the Best Boyfriend Ever. And thank you for being there for me, and for being you. (And for dinner!)
Someday I'll say some of the heavy things that are on my mind. Maybe. If I have time. I need to make time, to find time, to collect little shards of time, spare pennies of time, and use them wisely. A rainy day is coming, and it's coming soon, and if I don't take care of things now, I'm bound to erode.
