I can be so blonde sometimes.

You know, baab, it's not just you. This girl Petra that I met about 5 years ago asked me online the other day, "Didn't you used to be blonde before?" What is it with you people?

So today I lulled myself into a false sense of laziness. I don't know where it came from. I woke up this morning thoroughly convinced that the only thing I needed to do at work today was go to a staff meeting, a meeting that was going to consist of walking through the building we're moving into next month, to get a feel for the layout.

When I was choosing clothes, I picked comfortable, fun things. I decided not to blow-dry my hair. 'Bah!' I said, 'What for? For some construction workers?' I opted not to pack food to eat. 'I'll be home by 3 at the latest!'

The catch? I had a 4 o'clock client. Thank goodness for the daily schedule in the mailbox. But what a shock to the system to see that piece of paper there, me in my beach clothes with my air-dried, weirdo-flip, nappy hair. And today, my Wednesday client who always cancels actually decided to show.

I totally suck sometimes. In that blonde kinda way. :)
