Okay, so I went to Piercology to get a shorter barbell for my labret, and when I was signing the paperwork saying I was a legal grownup, the girl behind the counter said, "You look like this girl from LiveJournal." So I said, "Lemme guess - [livejournal.com profile] smurfchick." Ha ha ha, she's a friend of galadahliagalalalala. That's pretty awesome. I guess it goes to show that I can't go anywhere in Columbus without finding someone on LiveJournal. What a city full of nerds. :) So, hello, [livejournal.com profile] frogie16!

After a yummy lunch of raw fishies, Ms. Jennifer and I headed to Goodale Park. I think my whole neighborhood was there enjoying the first tastes of spring. It was so amazing and lovely to just see all kinds of people out in the sunshine, including some girl that I totally recognized and I'm thinking was a classmate of mine from OSU, since I can't remember her name. (Actually, come to think of it, I think she was also in my kickboxing class.) Everyone was smiling amd carefree. We cutesied on a bench by the pond for a while, and eventually ran into [livejournal.com profile] crushinator, [livejournal.com profile] ebeth, and [livejournal.com profile] nowatpeacebrad. Whee! Then we headed to (scary) Easton so I could go to Best Buy and get my digital elph (hooray for tax refund!) which I am already in love with, and Jen got Season Two of Queer as Folk. We were going to go to a movie, but she wasn't feeling up to it, and by the time we got to the car we were both cranky and bickering. It was a bad situation that really could have been avoided and shouldn't have ever existed in my time line.

It's weird how those moments of awkwardness and confusion get me feeling so frustrated and feeble. It's like I have Relationship PTSD - one little slip and I start remembering every failure I've ever made, flashbacks of exes and bad situations. Doubly weird is how sappy and mushtastic I feel after everything is resolved, as if I want to hold onto her and my relief and that feeling in my stomach as closely as I can. I hope it always feels like that, but I know that's something that takes work. And I'm willing to admit now that I really want to do that work. So anyone who wants to belittle my feelings, my commitments, or my fidelity, or who wants to put quotes in the air when you mock my love, well, you can just shove it all up your ass.

We're up to the third episode of QaF's Season Two, which started with Lindsey and Melanie having sex. HELLO! I'd never seen that episode before, yowza. Melanie is a Sexy McHottiepants. We've got Adriatico's on the way, and lots more QaF to watch, and I'm really glad now that the whole "going to the movies" plan fell through, because I really like tonight this way.
