Playskool's My First Bike Ride
Mar. 28th, 2003 06:50 pmSo I went on my first bike ride today after work and I have one thing to say: I am a big, fat, lazyassybones. Holy crap on a crap cracker! I probably rode about 5 miles, I'm not really sure. I went down Buttles and around the Thurber area to 3rd/Olentangy to get on the bike trail. I rode up to campus and turned on Woody Hayes/W. Woodruff, and down to that sports complex on campus whose name escapes me, and then up that hill to Neil and back to my apartment. It should have been no big deal, but I can definitely feel that I've gotten a bit of a workout, especially on that hill. And my butt? Ow.
But it felt really good to be out there in the air, with the breeze blowing past my furry legs. It felt good to feel my thighs burning when I went up hills. And my lungs have that "recently breathed hard" feel that is very refreshing. Yay! I'm anxious for the day when I have definition in my upper legs again. (I still have hot calves, though, woot.) I think if I can pull this off even every other day, there will be definite improvement.
I celebrated my healthy bike ride with a Capri Sun Big Pouch and a Snickers Egg. Oopsie.
Now I need to find something to wear. My friend Tiff from my social work program is coming out here to eat and drink with me. We might hit this party she knows about, we might not. I should wash my hands. That last sentence was totally random.

Date: 2003-03-29 10:34 am (UTC)Sorry, but I am rolling with laughter right now. I love people who are as unhealthy as me...everytime I'm done working out, I light up my celebratory cigarette...
Right on grrl :)
