Wow! I am really moving along on this AIDS Walk stuff! I had loftily set my goal at $800 (more than twice what I made last year), and I'm already up to $320 ($10 was given to me in cash by Coworker Matt)! Wow! You guys are awesome! So many people have helped out already: [livejournal.com profile] prettyvacantone, [livejournal.com profile] upsoclose, [livejournal.com profile] siercia, [livejournal.com profile] oddharmonic, [livejournal.com profile] smurfbrother, (Look, [livejournal.com profile] zuzubailey76, not everyone I know has an LJ!) Dominique, Future Sister-in-Law Gretchen, Mom, Former Boss Jeff, Coworker Lucinda, Mindy, Ron, and even the ex (Aaron). Coworker Vicki, Coworker Shannon, and Coworker Jennifer also agreed to sponsor me, and Dad and Aunt Sandie are sending me checks. Woooo. (Coworker [livejournal.com profile] vorpalbla also agreed to donate, but I think he has other important things to spend his money on right now.)

I think this is amazing, especially since state budget cuts are hitting the HIV services really hard. I've received "sponsor me!" emails from Louise and Ron, but for some reason, the online forms won't take credit card payments of less than $25 for NYC events, so I'll need to send them checks. I can't really afford to send $25 to each of them and sponsor Supervisor Vicki on her Juvenile Diabetes walk.

I'm still really excited about my upcoming weekend getaway! Tonight I am going to see what geocaches are in the area, and I have to remember to pack Dr. Fritz so he can enjoy the Hocking Hills. Coworker Jeff was really jealous that we're getting away. HE SHOULD BE! We are going to have an amazing time! I have to remember to pack my stuff, go grocery shopping, make sure all the cats have food, water the plant, and balance the checkbook. I should make a list of what to pack so I don't forget anything. I don't want to spoil my weekend being upset at myself for forgetting things!

Things have been really rough for Jennifer this week, and I wanted us to do something out of the ordinary and special for her. I've been really worried about her, and I've been down too because I've been feeling really useless. I'm glad she's been less stressed and has been smiling again. Tonight we went and had sushi with [livejournal.com profile] crushinator and [livejournal.com profile] laughingsal, and we got to see [livejournal.com profile] osuptygal at work. I love knowing people with connections.

Okay, the plan tonight is to check on geocaches, make a list, and answer emails that are piling up. Wish me luck, yo! :)
