No kidding.

Real Genius is one of my absolute favorite movies.

Course, it doesn't hurt that Michelle Meyrink is the geek's equivalent of, like, you know, hot.

Mmmm.

Other than Billy Madison, I have to agree with your funny movies list. I'd replace it with Happy Gilmore, but there are personal connections (like Happy's grandmother is supposed to live in Waterbury, which is where I was born), so that may be a part of it.

Also, I don't know if you've ever seen "Higher Learning" or not, but that's one of my favourite serious films, along with "American History X", which is the only one of those that you list that I've seen all the way through.

My animated films list is probably something that could go on and on, in part because of my exposure to lots of anime. :)

As for so far this year...the only one of this year's releases that I have seen and halfway liked is X2. Lack of cash will do that to a person; it puts you at the mercy of what your friends are willing to see.

I own Higher Learning also. I also like Do the Right Thing quite a bit... but it sort of borders serious and funny.

I don't really like anime. And I saw X2, but that's not really my thing either. But I took a cute girl, and she loved it, so that's all that matters.

Stop looking at me, Swan!

I so loved Bend it like Beckham. And I so loved Johnathan Rhys-Meyers. Until he did the gay Scott Evil run across the airport. Sigh.

"Bend It" was hilarious

I like Do the Right Thing as well. I wish more people would sit down and watch it, and Higher Learning and take the lessons to heart.

As for X2, I was a big X-Men geek when I was a teen, so I go to the movies (even if they've been totally ruining the canon!). :) Too bad I didn't have a cute girl for a companion. *sighs*

I went to reply to a post about the wedding but when I went to do so I didn't have access anymore.

Um.

I was going to say I do hope it goes as well as it can.

Have you seen previews for The Italian Job? The movie totally doesn't appeal to me, but Seth Green is so damned adorable. Love him!

Mmmmmmm.

I love Michelle Meyrink. Back in the day when I had a short bob instead of my brother's haircut, I used to pretend I looked like her. I always said that in the movie of my life, she would play me.

Now I'd just like to play with her.

Yes, I've seen the previews. I so love him. But I'm torn as to whether or not he's worth $10 and sitting through those two hours, and having the shame of having to ask for the ticket...

Ha!

Yeah, I think I'll wait for the $1 theatre on that one. I love him, but the movie looks so awful.

He is so cute. Whenever I see him I think of you.
