Somewhere in the course of this weekend (which was not long enough, I mean, really, two days? Come on!) I did a bunch of stuff, though looking back I can't really see where the time went. This is likely to bore everyone to tears, including myself, but on the off chance that you're one of those people who sits around at work desperately clicking LJ for something to do, I'm happy to oblige.

On Friday night, Jen and I went to dinner with [livejournal.com profile] doulamel, and then went to Union to meet up with [livejournal.com profile] loudestprincess (addicted to card games) and [livejournal.com profile] lemur68. We ran into [livejournal.com profile] nowatpeacebrad and [livejournal.com profile] ebeth and some other kids. Later, after a phone call urging us out, we went to meet [livejournal.com profile] crushinator and [livejournal.com profile] tandex at Coffee Table. The Mels showed up later, too. Heh.

Elsewhere in the weekend, I found clothes to wear to Carina's wedding. (Note to self: buy wedding gift!) Clothes shopping was the most miserable experience of the week, and I am forever indebted to Jennifer for enduring with me. So I have clothes. They're not nearly dressy enough for a wedding, but at this point, everyone should be glad that I'm not wearing cargo pants. So there. I had the stamina to clothes-shop only because earlier that morning I had a very insightful, deep, and wonderful conversation with Jen about gender and ourselves and I learned that some of the things I thought I knew about her were assumptions. And I was wrong. And it's awesome to reveal ourselves to each other. So after the dredgery of clothes shopping, I went back to Coffee Table with [livejournal.com profile] prettyvacantone and we caught up on things for a while (I think sometimes Brandie and I forget that we can talk seriously until we do.), and later went back to my apartment and watched Girl. It was... okay. Brandie's a much better groupie (Band Aid?) than Dominique Swain. I did something I don't usually do (turned on IM), and chatted for a bit with [livejournal.com profile] kungfoogirl, [livejournal.com profile] tobereal, [livejournal.com profile] laurajones, and another Laura. Then I called Kelli and tortured her with sexual pictures of Sesame Street koosh balls (Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] auntiesiannan!).

Yesterday I got up on the wrong side of the bed, and grumped to the laundromat with Jen. Then I got into a heaping dallop of an argument with Jen and ruined all chances of her getting thesis work done. Then I sat in Goodale Park to staff the Faith Mission table at the Homelessness Awareness Concert, and she joined me later and that was nice. We drove Coworker Jennifer and Tiffany back to their car downtown and then had dinner at Aladdin's. I love their vegetarian chili. Mmmm. Jen and I got home, unwound, had a nap, and then went grocery shopping. (I can't tell you the last time I had food in the house.) We watched Chutney Popcorn (on [livejournal.com profile] doulamel's recommendation) and then went to sleep. Oh! And in the middle of the movie, there was this song, and I was like, "Hey, this sounds like Frogpond." And it /was/! I am so obsessed with Frogpond currently. (Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] wasted_breath!)

Jen's still sort of congested, so she was breathing really loudly and I slept on the couch. With Daedalus on top of me. After he jumped from somewhere else. Oof. I'm so stiff. And tired.

It's that kind of day. It's Monday morning and I haven't even gotten to work yet, and I'm already thinking about how I get to leave early on Friday, and have next Monday off. Agony!
