Sick and Tired of, well, you know.
May. 21st, 2003 09:30 amI'm sick.
Like, really not-good, came-out-of-nowhere sick. Most of yesterday I felt like I needed to clear my throat, but it wasn't so bad. My throat started to tickle a little bit when I was out eating dinner with Sean and Bart, but I wasn't worried. So when Andrea and I decided to skip the Ladyfest meeting, I opted to go for a little bike ride with the boys in the cool rain. This was mistake #1.
By the end of the ride, my legs felt like jello (and we hadn't gone far) and my ears were pounding and sore. I went home to read LJ and could feel myself getting worse while I was sitting there. My ears got really clogged and my head got swimmy, so I took some Sudafed. This was mistake #2.
I couldn't sleep because I was feverish all night, and because the pseudoephedrine bumped my pulse to a pounding 126 beats per minute. I started freaking myself out so much that I woke Jen up and made her listen to my heartbeat. I felt like all of my blood was going to pound out my ears and eyes. She got me a glass of water and propped up my pillows.
In my feverish state, I spent nearly three hours obsessing over Jennifer Palmer's sickness, and then the next three hours convinced that my apartment was going to catch on fire and we'd have to crawl out my bedroom window. Needless to say, I feel less-than-stellar today. I took some DayQuil, and I hope that helps. Ugh.
Where did this come from?
