The Rizzo Interview
Jun. 6th, 2003 08:23 am1. Ever wear those leiderhosen anywhere, or is it too much like wearing a dress?
I love that dress. The last time I wore it in public was at Jessica and Mark's wedding last summer. I didn't wear it to the reception (because it was an evening dinner party and I wore a black dress), but I wore it to the church. It was a hit! I also wore it to a Halloween party that year that I bought it. Oddly enough, when I wore it to the wedding, I thought my grandmother was going to have a bird, but she thought it was /beautiful/. She kept raving about it. She's Ukrainian, maybe it reminded her of her roots or something.
2. What's that movie with that chick?
Bridget Jones's Diary
3. I know in the past there had been children talk, but now that the times they are a changin' is that still something you see in your future? (Either adopted or home-grown)
Yes. I have always wanted to be a parent. When I was with A., he /really really/ wanted to have a biological child, and I had considered the expense and the treatment. At this point, I still don't have the desire to have my own child, and I would still like to adopt. BUT if I was with someone who wanted a biological child, I would go along with it once. (I don't think people should have more than one child when there are plenty of children.) I would actually like to impregnate my partner with my brother's sperm if possible. (If he and the partner and Gretchen were up for it.)
4. What was that what we ate? BLT!
Cake. Cake. Cake. Want some carrot cake? What time is it?
5. Was there anything about Maine you liked, or do you think it was more the situation you were in at the time that left you so unhappy there? (yeah, I know, badly formed question, but tough)
The thing I liked the most was being the closest I've been to you, geographically, since we left Hofstra. I liked being able to drop down for a weekend, or have you drop up. I liked planning the wedding in some ways because it meant hanging out with you. I also liked Acadia National Park very much, and while I didn't like my job at UMaine, I really loved my boss Bill. I met some nice people there, too. Too bad I didn't really meet the good ones until I was getting ready to leave. However, the weather really REALLY got me down. And the fact that in the winter, it got dark at 3:30pm. And I didn't have any friends, and my SO worked a completely opposite schedule from me. And there wasn't a lot to do. So really, while I don't regret going there, right now it's my least favorite place in the US ever.
Extra Credit: Which Austin Powers character would you be and why?
Dude, Scott Evil. Because he's the cutest, and because then you would lust after me. And I would get to say "Operation Wang Chung."
