We're just some men that's on the mic.
Jun. 20th, 2003 09:21 amDude! Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick (and others) will be playing at Cooper Stadium next Saturday! How exciting! I passed the poster and did a doubletake. Sadly, I have plans ALL DAY (Pride and then Ani), but they will be here in Columbus! There are posters all over the place near my shelter.
It's moving day. I just took apart my bed. It's weird to think that this morning, it was my bed, and tonight it will be the living room couch. I bought that bed when I moved into my own bedroom in the apartment I shared with A. It's weird to be "retiring" it, in a way. Most people think futons are uncomfortable, but mine, with the featherbed on top, was so snuggly! It was like the bed was giving you a hug. Okay, I must be loopy and stressed and sleep-deprived. I'm writing a eulogy for a futon.
My beloved made a floor plan with the room measurements, and then measured the furniture to see where it would all fit. I trust her genius, but I still don't see how there's /that/ much room in those tiny bedrooms. I guess we'll see when the movers are actually putting the furniture in, right? Fun times. Speaking of movers, they're set to arrive anytime between 2 and 4. So I don't know when they'll be done. But they will come take this crap AWAY. Yay.
I'm going to give A. and Alison my dresser. It matches the set that I left with him when I left, and I took it because I didn't have one. To save space, I'm going to use Jen's, so I called to ask if they wanted it. It's so weird to talk to Alison because I like her so much, and she seems so cool, but my head keeps saying, "Stop talking to her. It's /weird/ to talk to her." (See? It's not just lesbians who have weird ex drama.) She offered to help move on Saturday morning. Maybe I'll take her up on that. *shrug*
I hope that
Patti's feeling better! I'm worried about her. No posts from her yet, which is a bit unusual, and she was sick last night. Does anyone know anything? I wish I knew someone who owned a pickup truck or an SUV. Why doesn't anyone have a pickup truck around here??!?
My cats are totally spazzing out. Between the boxes everywhere, and taking everything apart, and
Jennie sleeping here, they're getting a little freaked. They're going to love being locked in the bathroom.
Wow. Most boring post ever.
