You know, today was actually very good, aside from the tooth and the car.

First I successfully got the fingerprints done. And then I went to Vic's with Kat. And while we were there, we ran into Missy. And Missy made lunch for us! Later, Missy came back over to join me and Ryan for beer and Tank Girl, and they stayed and played with me and the cats until Jen came home from work.

I think my main problem is that I feel so useless right now. I can't make her pain go away any more than I can spontaneously fix her tooth or her car. And I can't help but think that if I had income, I could be much more helpful, because not only would I not be a financial burden myself, I would also have extra cash. I hate feeling useless - it's not something I'm terribly used to and not something I'd like to continue.

I guess I can help by trying to save as much money as I can by cutting down on going out and not eating out and trying to live on the cheap. That can be a start!
