So my friend Matante Chrissy from my hometown, who then went to college with me, is still working in NYC in a publishing company. She's been there since graduation and doing very well. Anyway, she sent me email telling me not to email her at work anymore, and giving me another email address - so I dropped her a "Testing" email. I used my Yahoo! email account because I'm trying to funnel email through there, and that particular email address has a Kerouac .sig.

Yeah, so she emails me back, "Hey, are you a Kerouac fan?" (Umm, DUH!) "Well, we're his exclusive publisher and have lots of neat treats here, and I can make you a care package if you want."

YAY! Jack stuff!

Very cool. I'm not terribly familiar with Kerouac, myself, but I have read and enjoyed Ginsberg and Burroughs, so I have a feeling that I'd like Kerouac, too. But that's so very cool that your friend can snag you some goodies. :)

Funny - I made that Tom waits and kerouac song with soundforge a few years ago and it spread around napster. It's amazing what you can find on google.
