The best things in life are shortlived.
Sep. 27th, 2003 11:39 amI just want to go on record as stating that last night was one of the best nights of my life, even if it didn't go exactly as planned /and/ we passed out way too early. My Jennifer came home from work and surprised me with a fever that is not so often displayed before dinner time - a fever that stayed with her for a wonderfully long time. After about two blissful hours, we opted for dinner at R.J. Snappers (which neither of us had been to) because the man on the phone promised he could seat us in fifteen minutes. Dinner was fantastic - shrimp cocktail and fresh bread, salad and riesling, crab cakes and sea bass, banana pie. We left with bottle-of-wine-induced giggles with plans to continue the evening's activity (even turning down Brandie's party to do so).
But then we passed out into wine coma by 11:30pm. Still, heavenly - like being on vacation without having to leave town.
